Please find our English version down below RIDDLE & THE STARS – “NEW COASTLINE” Riddle & The Stars ist ein gemeinsames Projekt von dem australischen Singer/Songwriter Ben Riddle und der American Rockband The Fallen Stars, bestehend aus Tracy und Bobbo Byrnes. Die Drei haben sich auf ihrer „Songs & Whispers“ – Circuit Tournee im Juli 2013 kennen gelernt. Dort teilten sie sich neben einer Wohnung auch das eine oder andere Live Konzert und begannen sich nach einiger Zeit gegenseitig bei ihren Songs zu begleiten. Nach einigen Probeaufnahmen im Studio war die Band Riddle & The Stars geboren und keine sechs Monate später hielten die Mitglieder das erste Album „This Is Happening“ in den Händen. Musikalisch bewegt sich das Trio irgendwo zwischen Indie, Americana und Folk, wobei The Fallen Stars für die rockigen Parts verantwortlich sind und Ben Riddle mit seinem melodischen, eher ruhigen Songwriting besticht. Nach ausgedehnten Tourneen durch Europa und die USA hat die Band genug Material für neue Songs gesammelt. Im zweiten Album „New Coastline“ verewigen Ben Riddle und The Fallen Stars einerseits ihre Tourerfahrungen, andererseits gehen sie der Bedeutung von Heimat auf den Grund. Aufgenommen wurde „New Coastline“ aus der Ferne – Tracy und Bobbo Byrnes haben ihre Ideen dank neuster Technologien mit Ben Riddle über Skype und Co ausgetauscht. “Even just ten years ago, a collaborative project like this could not have been survived” lautet ein Statement der Band. Diese Nähe trotz Distanz hat den Entstehungsprozess maßgeblich beeinflusst. So beschreibt die erste Single des Albums „Long Way Down“ ein Gefühl von Heimat, das sich weit mehr auf die Personen bezieht, mit denen man zusammen ist, als auf einen bestimmten Ort. Mit “New Coastline” Riddle & The Stars demonstrieren, dass Reisen, Musik und Freundschaft als universelle Kraft, die Welt zumindest ein bisschen näher zusammen bringen können. After initially meeting as tour mates in Germany, the three artists discovered an unexpected kinship, both musically and personally. A few months later, Ben flew from Australia to California for a whirlwind 17-day recording session, resulting in “This is Happening,” their first album together. Drawing from a range of Indie, Americana and Folk influences, the music is layered with vocal harmonies along with rootsy instrumentation, such as the tenor guitar, pedal steel and cajon. One fan described their rich, dynamic sound as “Fleetwood Mac meets The Waterboys.” On their sophomore album, “New Coastline,” the band took a very different approach to the process. Working from opposite ends of the world, Bobbo, Tracy and Ben would send tracks via the internet and Skype their writing sessions together. From this simultaneous closeness and distance rose a theme of searching for home that runs throughout the album. What does home mean? Where can it be found? Or, as in their first single “Long Way Down,” is finding your sense of home and belonging far more about the person you are with than any place you could find on a map? Bigger than Elvis is the debut release by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist J Francis under his Hotel Del Salto moniker. The single is a slice of avant-pop that

harks back to the golden age of pop experimentation by the likes of Brian Wilson, Prince, David Bowie whilst also referencing the current crop of individualistic talents

like Euros Childs and Beck.

Believing in the power of pop music, Francis looked at how we as a people are enthralled by the sights and sounds of the USA and how we take those very things and
turn it into something of our own. A trait we Brits have been doing since the first recordings arrived on our shores. Bigger than Elvis is a love song not to a specific person
but to a feeling, a character tale of unnecessary egotism which is used to hide ones true feelings and raw emotions.

Written and recorded by Francis himself in a true DIY fashion, Bigger than Elvis is a perfect first glimpse of a talent that is soon to blossom across the UK.
