FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GRAMMY NOMINATED DJ/PRODUCER DIRTY SOUTH OFFERS FANS A CHANCE TO OPEN FOR HIM AT HIS GRAND FINALE SHOW WHEN HE TURNS LOS ANGELES INTO THE “CITY OF DREAMS” AT THE HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM ON NOVEMBER 24

LOS ANGELES (October 30, 2012) – As he crosses the country turning every city into its own “CITY OF DREAMS,” the GRAMMY Nominated DJ and Producer, Dirty South, is ramping up to turn one of America’s most electric cities into a true CITY OF DREAMS on Saturday, November 24 at Los Angeles’ iconic Hollywood Palladium. In preparation for the grand finale show of the biggest North American tour of his career, Dirty South is helping to make one lucky fan’s dreams come true by offering a chance to open for him, alongside other talented DJs who include Arty, Deniz Koyu and NO ID. In a contest, hosted by Insomniac’s Discovery Project, the winner will also get to spend an afternoon in the studio with Dirty South himself. Fans can buy tickets now to the final date at the Hollywood Palladium, available at www.ticketmaster.com for $35, for the chance to see their talented DJ fans open for Dirty South.

“I think one of the best opportunities I have, as I’m lucky enough to be able to make a career doing what I love, is giving my fans the chance to do what they love and feel the same electricity I get to in front of thousands of fans,” said Dirty South. “I’m happy I can work with Insomniac’s Discovery Project to give fans the chance to open for me. I know it’s tough competition out there, but I’m sure whoever wins is going to light up the house before I take the stage.”

To win the amazing opportunity to open for Dirty South at the Hollywood Palladium, fans must demonstrate their music production and DJ skills to Dirty South and Insomniac officials. More information about the contest, including submission instructions, can be found at http://www.discoveryproject.com. Deadline to participate in the contest is November 15.

Hailing from Australia, Dirty South has made a name for himself as a producer, musician and DJ in the burgeoning electronic dance music (EDM) scene, having produced, collaborated or remixed for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Pussycat Dolls, Kaskade, U2, Diddy Dirty Money, The Temper Trap, David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso and more than 50 artists in total. Currently, he is demonstrating the caliber and breadth of his talents not just as a producer and DJ but also as a songwriter and musician with his latest single “City of Dreams” with Alesso featuring Ruben Haze. The track took the #1 position on Beatport for the first two weeks of its release. Ruben Haze is a collaboration between Dirty South and singer Rudy, who lends his vocals for the song “City of Dreams.”

Dragan Roganovic, known as Dirty South, is a Serbian-born, Australian-based DJ whose acclaimed work has received such honors as two GRAMMY nominations, two ARIA nominations (Australian Music Industry’s top accolade) and a “Best Producer” trophy from the inthemix top 50 awards, among others. He got his start at the early age of 13 growing up in Melbourne, Australia, where he currently resides. Influenced by everything around him, the artist started improvising with his old NEC Hi-Fi and mixing with the tape decks, and then started making bootlegs and mashups, which eventually lead to getting a computer, software and keyboard that resulted in his first official production in 2004 as Dirty South. The DJ/producer has gone on to play for some of the best clubs and festivals across the globe, including Ultra Music Festival, Pacha in Ibiza and New York, Ministry of Sound and more. With only a few short years under his belt in the international production scene, Dirty South’s potential to achieve tremendous musical heights seems limitless.
