Walk the Line Festival 2011 – Hobgoblin, Tellison, Beans on Toast and free booze!

We have some fantastic artists set to play this year at Walk the Line Festival including Tellison, Beans on Toast, Skint and Demoralised and Ellen and the Escapades. The festival will be taking place in Cheltenham on the 7th and 8th October. Buy your tickets now or check out the website.

Hobgoblin announced as beer sponsor

We are delighted to announce a match made in heaven – Walk the Line Festival has teamed up with our official beer sponsor, Hobgoblin. In our humble opinion Britain’s finest ale, Hobgoblin is traditionally brewed to produce a wonderfully well balanced blend of smooth, rich and satisfying flavours from chocolate and crystal malts combined with a crisp, refreshing bitterness from Styrian, Goldings and Fuggles hops. Yum… we will see you at the bar!

Additions to the line-up

We have been trying to get Tellison along to Walk the Line for a few years and we’ve finally bagged them! The band were featured on the first two seasons of Channel 4’s “The Inbetweeners” and they’ve toured relentlessly sharing stages with Biffy Clyro, Noah and the Whale, Tubelord, Hot Club de Paris, Johnny Foreigner and many more.

Beans on Toast is one man with a guitar, writing songs which blend dark wit with serious social and political satire based on subjects including drugs, Tesco, London, gun crime, myspace, global warming and the Lake District. We couldn’t resist a name drop to point out that Jay is a friend of Frank Turner and is mentioned in I Knew Prufock Before He Got Famous and Live Fast Die Old.

Also on the bill are Wakefield lyricist Skint and Demoralised, soulful songstress Ellen and the Escapades and American folk stars Midwest Dilemma. Keep your eyes peeled for more announcements in the next week.

Festival after-party, FREE BOOZE!

Many of you will remember the sensational skiffle sounds of Thrill Collins at the 2010 post festival party. The trio took D-Fly by storm, so they will be returning to close the 2011 festival. How can this get any better? How about some free booze? Why not! This year all Walk the Line Festival customers will get a free drink when they arrive at D-fly party… so you can end your festival in style!

Local bands added to the line-up

Also joining the line-up are some of the finest local acts in the shape of Chloe Foy, Tom Browning, Peppermint Hunting Lodge, Pink Crudge Caravan, I The Lion, We Are The Afterglow, Dirty Tricks, Swift Manouver and Charlie Baxter. The full line-up can be found on the website.

That’s all for now, but we have some more treats lined up for you soon!
